Superstar Rajanikanth's new flick "Rana" kickstarted on March 30

Superstar Rajinikanth’s KS Ravikumar directed Rana, kickstarted on March 30 Wednesday with a photo-shoot  at AVM studios in Chennai.

Rana is a co-production between Ocher Studios and Eros International. The leading lady Deepika Padukone has also flown in to Chennai for the photo-shoot, which will decide the ‘look of the film’. The shoot of Rana will commence end April in London. All preparations and the final star cast will be decided in the next few days.

Super star Rajinikanth’s first animated film produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth has under gone a title change for three times. Initially it was titled as Sultan the Warrior and later it has been changed to Hara. Now as per the snoopy sources it is heard that Hara has been renamed as Rana.

But as of now nothing has been announced officially by the filmmakers. Right now the film is under the heels of completion. Director K.S Ravikumar is going to direct the scenes, where line portions appear. It is also heard that Trisha is going to act in few scenes as asked by the director.

Rajini is going to share the screen space with ‘Anjathey’ fame Vijayalakshmi. Prakash Raj and Rahul Dev are playing important roles in the film. A R Rahman composed five songs for this animated film. The song sequences will be handled by K S Ravikumar himself.

Shankar is currently busy in remaking the super hit Hindi film Three Idiots. Vijay is doing the lead role. There is news that after completing this film he will be directing a film which will have Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan in the cast.

When Kamal Haasan was asked about this, he said,” You have been telling that Rajni and I will be acting in a high budgeted film that is to be produced at a cost of Rs 500 Crores and which will be directed by Shankar.
I have not received any information regarding this. I have not got any message from Shankar regarding this. We are planning to hold the FIKKI Media conference in Hyderabad on 1st and 2nd December.

Two thousand delegates will be participating in this conference. The film industry has been very badly affected because of video piracy. This cannot be prevented by politicians or film people. Rajnikanth’s animation film is being made by his younger daughter Soundarya and it was titled as ‘Sultan The Warrior’. The making of this movie had started much before the making of his latest block buster ‘Robo’. But it got delayed due to various reasons.

Now as per the latest reports, Soundarya has changed the title of this film as ‘Hara’. It is also learnt that she has taken a 22 day call sheet from her dad Rajnikanth. This animated film is being jointly directed by Soundarya and KS Ravi Kumar. As per the Chennai reports, he is shooting a few scenes that go for about 20 minutes and 5 songs. ‘Hara’ is going to be the first 3D animation film in India.
