Stephen Fry, British actor and a TV presenter has been taken into the cast of Sherlock Holmes 2. He is taking the role of Sherlock’s elder brother Guy Ritchie. Fry says, “I’m playing Mycroft in the sequel to the Sherlock Holmes film Guy Ritchie directed with Robert Downey Jr., and that sort of part is fun, but just once in a while to play a genuine all round sort of lead figure with complexity and tragedy and wit and all the sort of things that Oscar [Wilde] had was a once in a lifetime thrill,” Downey Jr. is due to reprise the role of Sherlock for the movie, alongside Jude Law has his sidekick Watson. Fry over his career has appeared in many big roles and he is well known for the 1997 docu-drama movie Wilde as well.

British actor Andrew Garfield will be the star of the next film based on web-slinging superhero "Spider-Man," it was announced.

British Actor Andrew Garfield has been selected over other big names to play the role of a superhero. The selection of 26 year old actor came as a surprise to all.

The shooting of the new Spiderman will commence from December 2010.

Andrew has reportedly bagged the lead role bypassing other British actors such Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson and Jamie Bell.

According to one of the producers on the Spider-Man franchise, Avi Arad, "We believe he is the perfect choice for the role to lead us into the future.

"The newest Spiderman flick starring Andrew Garfield is slated to hit the theaters by 2012. (With Inputs from Agencies)
