Miss Czech Republic 2006 Tatana Kucharova won the Miss World 2006 beauty contest. 
First runner-up in the 56th edition of the annual beauty pageant was Ioana Valentina Boitor, a 17-year-old from Romania. 
Miss World Australia 2006 Sabrina Houssami crowned Second runner-up of Miss World 2006.
